Artscape made Swedish art history by inviting 15 international artists to join a handful of local artists in creating large-scale urban art in Sweden’s third city, Malmö. Eleven murals were accompanied by street sculptures, yarn graffiti and origami street art. Artscape also provided a series of workshops all over the city, organised a gallery exhibition, hosted an artist talk and discussed the future of urban art with a distinguished panel of experts.
No similar project had ever been attempted in Sweden and the symbolic significance has been huge.
The art itself was also extremely well received and all murals have been made permanent as planned. Thanks to our team, partners and the people of Malmö for making it happen!
